Fortnite developer Epic Games is getting ready to release a new update for Battle Royale.
The new update will attempt to fix a big problem that has reared its head since the start of Season 2.
In a recent tweet sent out by Epic Games, the developer said that the "use legacy look controls" setting would be removed later this week.
Ahead of the March 13 update, fans are encouraged to copy legacy settings in the controller options. Doing so will ensure players retain their legacy sensitivities.
"With the improvements we've made to Aim Assist, we plan to remove the "Use Legacy Look Controls" setting on March 13," Epic said.
"To use the new settings and maintain your legacy sensitivities, select "Copy from Legacy" in the Controller Options and toggle off "Use Legacy Look Controls."
Aim assist has been a hot topic in Fortnite, especially with footage appearing of players spamming the function with controllers.
The news comes just days after the release of an emergency Fortnite update.
As previously acknowledged by the Fortnite developer, some fans had been having issues with unresponsive inputs on controllers.
The problem tends to rear its ugly head on post-match screen, leaving fans unable to select the "Return to Lobby," "Item Shop," and "Report Player" actions.
In a surprise midweek update, Epic Games fixed the problem on PS4 and Xbox One.
A much bigger update also launched last week, complete with new skins, items and a whole host of bug fixes.
New items include a secret agent fish skin dubbed Contract Giller. The Contract Giller skin will launch alongside the Dorsal Destroyer Back Bling, as well as the Fresh Fish Harvesting Tool.
Epic Games fixed an issue of XP gain from XP Coins not appearing in the XP bar.
The developer also tackled an issue with the map being bound to the up direction, as well as teammate arrows flickering and disappearing in Team Rumble.
Elsewhere, Epic fixed the problem with weak point hits not registering, as well as split-screen problems between two players.
Check back later this week for more on the next big Fortnite update.
